Melissa A. Doten, MPT  *Dir. Physical Therapy

Melissa Doten, Director of Physical TherapyMelissa Doten, MPT, graduated from American International College with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2003. She specializes in vestibular rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics including sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, non and post operative conditions, motor vehicle accidents, work related injuries, and general strengthening / conditioning. Melissa also utilizes various McConnell taping techniques, Dr. Stuart McGill's functional spine stabilization strategies, and has extensive training in functional capacity assessments. She is certified in Graston Technique®, which is a highly effective form of manual therapy, and also certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Melissa is currently pursuing her certification in Mulligan Concepts and the McKenzie Method. Melissa Doten is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Vestibular Disorders Association.

 

 

Kevin E. Sadowski, BSN, RN, DC, Cert. MDT

Dr. Kevin Sadwoski, Cert. MDTKevin E. Sadowski, DC, Cert. MDT went into private practice in ‘99 after graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Sadowski also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and Nursing.  He is certified in use of the AMA Guidelines of Impairment, 5th ed. and has advanced certification from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in Whiplash Traumatology.  Dr. Sadowski specializes in treating patients with non and post-operative spinal conditions, work, sports and auto-related injuries, and chronic pain using various manual therapy techniques, spinal manipulation and rehabilitative techniques. Dr. Sadowski is certified in using Graston Technique®. He is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® through the McKenzie International Group; a certification held by less than 100 chiropractors in the world.  He is certified in Dry Needling. He is also an active member of the American Chiropractic Association, CT Chiropractic Association, and the American Academy of Medical Legal Professionals. Jennifer L. Meier, MPT, CLT, CKTP

Jennifer Meier, Physical TherapistJennifer L. Meier, MPT, CLT has been a licensed physical therapist since 1996. She holds a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University. Her career experiences include: providing therapy at a multi-specialty group that offers orthopedics, physiatry and chiropractic; treating athletes of all ages, including minor league athletes; and treating patients with orthopedic conditions, motor vehicle accident and work-related injuries, pre/post-operative conditions, pain, lymphedema, and breast cancer related impairments. Jen has completed specialized training, to help breast cancer patients, in scar management, shoulder/neck pain, and post-op reconstruction. In 2009, Jen completed her certification in the Casley-Smith Method of complex lymphedema therapy. She now treats lymphedema in all areas of the body. In 2014, Jen completed her certification in Kinesio Taping technique. Jen is also trained in Graston, Gary Gray, Mulligan mobilizations, Muscle Energy Technique, and McKenzie approaches. [more]

 

Katherine Myers, DPT

Katherine Myers

Katie B. Myers, DPT, earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College, Buffalo, NY and became licensed in Physical Therapy in 2012. She received her Bachelor’s in Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Katie has worked in outpatient orthopedics treating patients with orthopedic injuries, work related and sports injuries, post- operative conditions, and chronic pain. In addition, she has worked in various therapeutic settings, which includes: assisting students in accessing their educational environment, encouraging balance and righting strategies, and improved functional mobility for activities of daily living for students at the public school system. Katie has earned a certification in Dry Needling. Katie is currently studying and pursuing certification in the Graston Technique, the McKenzie Method, and Mulligan Concepts. She is also completing her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification.

 

Jennifer V. Cavanaugh, PTA

Jennifer Cavanaugh, Physical Therapy AssistantJennifer V. Cavanaugh, PTA earned an Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant at Springfield Technical Community College and became licensed in ‘95.  She has worked in a variety of settings nationwide, including the Johnson Memorial Health Network outpatient physical therapy dept., treating patients with non/post-operative conditions, work-related and sports injuries, orthopedic injuries and chronic pain using modalities such as manual therapy, stretching/strengthening exercises, aquatic therapy. Jennifer completed specialized training in manual lymphatic drainage for treating lymphedema after breast cancer treatment. She is also trained in these manual techniques: Mulligan mobilizations, Cyriax and McKenzie approaches. Jennifer is certified in Graston Technique®, and is experienced in vestibular rehabilitation. Carla A. Fleck, PTA

Carla A. Fleck, PTACarla graduated with her Associates in Applied Science from Lasell College in Newton, MA and became a licensed physical therapy assistant in 1999. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics and inpatient subacute care. Carla has an extensive background in treating patients with sports injuries, motor vehicle injuries, work injuries, orthopedic conditions, post-operative needs, and chronic pain. In addition, Carla has also worked with individuals with complex medical backgrounds and patients with neurological conditions causing motor deficits, balance problems, and gait deviations. Carla is engaged in specialized training in manual techniques including Mulligan Concepts, the McKenzie Method, and Kinesiotaping. She has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation. She is also certified in the Graston Technique and for the Gary Gray Applied Functional Science.
